Staying safe

This is a new marketplace and we want to be straight with you about what that means.

Unverified listing

We do not check IDs, ownership, or condition. Meet in a public place, inspect before you pay, and never pay in advance or share an OTP. Safety guide

What we do not check

We do not verify anyone’s identity. We do not check that a person owns what they have listed, that an item works, that a property exists, or that a photo shows the actual thing. We do not run background checks, and we do not hold your money or mediate a dispute. Anyone can create an account and post a listing.

What a badge actually means

“Phone confirmed” means the person received a code on that number and entered it. That is all it means. It does not tell you who they are, whether they own the item, or whether they will treat you fairly. Treat it as a small signal, not as our endorsement.

Before you meet

If something goes wrong

Report the listing so we can remove it and stop it reaching other people. We can take a listing or an account down, and we do. We cannot recover your money — we never held it. If you have lost money or been threatened, that is a police matter, and in India you can also report it at cybercrime.gov.in or on 1930.

What we are working on

We are building smart KYC verification and a recommended-renters system, so that over time there is something more substantial behind a profile than a confirmed phone number. Neither exists yet. When they do, we will describe exactly what they check — and what they still do not.
